How do you "do"?

"Tell me and I forget.
Show me and I remember.
Involve me and I understand."

Educationist Edgar Dale illustrated this with his research into what he called the "Cone of Experience."  He concluded that after two weeks, we remember only 10% of what we read and 20% of what we hear, but 90% of what we do. How do we "do" at LIFT Homeschool Schoolhouse? By hands-on participation, discovery, role play, dialogue, olders teaching youngers-- in short, "action learning." The more senses used in educational activities, the better the chance that students learn -- and remember.
